Chevrolet Silverado Wins Truck of the Year
January, 2007
It was announced at the 16th North American International Auto Show that the Chevrolet Silverado is the 2007 North American Truck of the Year. This prestigious award, the results of voting by 49 automotive journalists from the United States and Canada, is based on factors that include innovation, design, safety, handling, driver satisfaction and value for the dollar. To be eligible, vehicles must be “all new” or “substantially changed” from the previous model.
AGS AUTOMOTIVE is proud of its role in the development of the new 2007 Silverado. AGS AUTOMOTIVE’s Engineering team worked collaboratively with designers at General Motors over a period of several years to hone the design of the front bumper assembly, which contributes in large measure to the Silverado’s classy good looks.
The chromed and painted front bumper assembly of the Silverado is manufactured at several AGS facilities. The metal bumpers are stamped and chrome plated at AGS AUTOMOTIVE’S Oshawa plant; the heavy duty version of the Silverado is assembled at AGS Oshawa and AGS Scarborough stamps the bracketry for the bumper assembly for this pick up truck.
