AGS Wins Chrysler Group GOLD Supplier Award

In this turbulent environment, where suppliers are struggling to survive, AGS receives a huge recognition from one of our key customers, DCX, for our outstanding supplier performance in 2005.

In March of 2005, AGS Automotive Systems was rewarded with the Chrysler Group Gold Award for the Exposed Steel Bumper category. This reward was given in recognition of sustained outstanding performance on a number of key performance metrics. These metrics include quality, cost, technology, delivery and warranty. Although the standard to be considered for the award was very high, AGS shone through and our solid efforts placed us at the top of the list for 2005.

In all five areas measured by the award, AGS scored very well. We finished 2005 with a strong DCX quality rating, based on our customer scorecard, which tracks PPM’s, non-conformances, and containments. Our cost savings, and overall cost competitiveness within the exposed bumper category positioned us favourably from a cost perspective. The technology metric looks for environmentally regulated components, as well as the strength of our design office; two areas where we scored very well. The target for delivery is 100% - not one missed shipment window is allowed in order to be considered for this award. Lastly, AGS strong warranty data of 100% quality between 0 and 100,000 km for all dealer sales helps complete the picture.

This confirms that great teams get great results, and positions us to continue to focus on our strengths and not lose sight of our core principles and our key initiatives as we strive to deliver even greater results in 2006.
