AGS Announces Successful Completion under the Ontario Automotive Investment Strategy (OAIS) Grant.
AGS is pleased to announce the successful completion of its agreement under the Ontario Automotive Investment Strategy (OAIS) Grant. OAIS was a $500M program launched by the Ontario government in 2004 with the goal of leveraging automotive sector investments in key areas such as training, innovation, technology, energy efficiencies and environmental technologies. Other notable grant recipients were General Motors, Ford, Chrysler and Toyota.
The grant helped AGS Automotive Systems in Canada grow its business, and facilitated investments in areas around R&D, manufacturing technologies, greening, waste reduction and training. As a combined investment between Tiercon, AGS and the Ontario government, OAIS provided significant support to the diversification of the companies’ product portfolio, as well as the creation of new jobs and investment.
On February 2, 2018, the Ministry of Economic Development and Growth expressed their satisfaction with the project outcomes.
